Neighborhood Horses
This week my husband found a horse and a pony grazing at our property. When he went looking for their owners, he discovered they belong to a neighbor whose house is in foreclosure. The man doesn't live there anymore and has some tenants at the property. Another kind neighbor told us he regularly pitches in and buys them hey. We are not sure if they are getting the attention they need so we left the owner our number. They have a stable and some grass to graze on but looked like they needed some TLC so the family went and bought sacks of apples and carrots to feed them. They were pretty grateful. We are not ready for horses but if they need a home we will gladly adopt them. In the meantime, we will settle for checking in on them daily and taking them treats.
My brother in law brought a slack line to our first BBQ on the lot and everyone had a great time.
We plan on getting horses in the future so the girls began taking some classes. Their first reaction to the stables was "it stinks," but then they enjoyed the ride.
