As a consumer investigative reporter for two local South Florida TV stations, my life is very stressful. I love my job because I get to help people and expose problems but dealing with hundreds of consumer complaints a week takes a toll. On weekends you'll find me volunteering at local foster homes with a non-profit organization I founded in 2009 called Kakes 4 Kids. It's an amazing organization built entirely by volunteers that helps celebrate the birthdays of more than 300 foster and underprivileged children in South Florida. I do this with the help of my family, friends and of course, my handy husband and two beautiful adopted daughters who inspire all of us to be better everyday. It is for them that my husband and I are crafting this new life. We are building a country haven where our girls can enjoy the simple things in life.
